Dean’s Heart (eBook & Audio Combo): An MM Basilisk x Human Age Gap Romance (Heirs of Mistvale #5)

Description

Narrated by Zachary Zaba

An unexpected loss had Dean rethinking his life’s path. Would a new direction lead him to more than he’d expected?

Dean

The plan was simple: finish my undergrad, attend medical school, choose a speciality, and become a doctor to do what I’d always wanted to: help people. But unexpected circumstances revealed a new way to do that, leaving me conflicted.

Luckily, I was back home in Mistvale, with plenty of people to turn to for advice, including Nash, a retired cop who’d recently moved to town. All I’d wanted was his connection to the police department. Instead, I found everything.

Nash

After retiring from the police department, moving to Mistvale had seemed like a no-brainer. Though I was human, I’d helped enough supes over the years to earn a place in their clan and town. When Dean asked for my help with some research and offered to show me the real Mistvale in return, it seemed like the perfect distraction from retirement boredom.

Dean was a bright young man, and seeing Mistvale through his eyes awakened a part of me I’d thought long dead. But we had nothing in common. He’d return to college after summer, while I’d just bought my retirement fixer-upper. He was a basilisk; I was human. We had no future. Except Dean seemed to disagree.

Dean’s Heart is an MM age-gap paranormal romance featuring a basilisk dealing with loss and facing big life decisions, a human cop navigating retirement and deciding whether to adopt a dog, toddler dragons wreaking havoc around town, and the usual Mistvale meddling.

Note: Dean’s Heart is the final book in the Heirs of Mistvale series, and starts with a three-and-half-year time jump after the epilogue of Paxton’s Secret.
